Ron wondered if it could it be the actual tombstone from the nearby Garden Tomb. Ron went back to the Garden Tomb, to take some actual measurements.
He measured the width of the channel that held the rolling stone that formerly covered the entrance to the Garden Tomb, and found that the width of the channel perfectly matched the two feet wide stone he had just discovered a few hundred feet away.
